While other
kids were out playing hockey or taking guitar lessons, I was hanging
around my father’s company, Impact Cases. I was fascinated
by the design process, the huge machines, creating custom foam
inserts, the whole thing.
Fast-forward twenty-five years, a couple of university
degrees and a lot of hands on experience and now, I’m president
of Impact. When you deal with us today, you get the best of both
worlds. We are a privately owned company with two generations of
pride and commitment to anything that bears our name. And we are
an industry leader in the areas of innovation, engineering and
technology.
You’ll find our aluminum cases at work of the
decks of ships, in jet fighters, in the oil patch, on search and
rescue missions and on movie sets. Many of our cases are originals,
created specifically for a customer’s unique application.
Others are modified versions of our in-stock cases, customized
inside or out for a specific payload.
Impact’s highly creative designers act as an
extension of our customer’s engineering/ design department.
Using Parasolid modeling, they transform their concepts into prototypes
for customer approval or modification. In the hands of skilled
tradesmen with 75 years cumulative experience, our precise CNC
automated equipment turns the designer’s vision into reality.
As in my Dad’s day, we are totally focused
on craftsmanship and case performance, and with our creativity
propelled by today’s technology, we can do anything but reinvent
physics.
