2 PCF
POLYURETHANE ESTER FOAM Grey in colour,
this open cell foam is ideal for protecting very sensitive lightweight
components. It is not recommended for heavier components because the
foam easily deforms / compresses and may result in the component “bottoming
out” in the case. This foam can be cut manually, by CNC router,
CNC waterjet and die stamping. |

2 PCF
ANTI-STATIC POLYURETHANE ESTER FOAM Pink
in colour, this is the anti-static version of the above. If you have
an application where there is a concern regarding static discharge,
this is an appropriate foam to use. It is important to note that the
anti-static properties of all anti-static foams will dissipate over
time and the colour will gradually “yellow”.
2 PCF POLYETHYLENE FOAM
Black in colour, this closed cell foam has a large
cell size (coarse in texture). It is a rigid foam and is the most
commonly used cushioning material in the packaging industry. It offers
protection for moderately sensitive components ranging from lightweight
to heavy (> 200 lbs.). This foam is available in densities greater
than the standard 2 lbs. per cubic foot (PCF) and thus is ideal for
very heavy payloads such as engines. This foam can be cut manually,
by CNC router, CNC waterjet and die stamping.
2 PCF ANTI-STATIC POLYETHYLENE FOAM
Pink in colour, this is the anti-static version
of the above. If you have an application where there is a concern
regarding static discharge, this is an appropriate foam to use. It
is important to note that the anti-static properties of all anti-static
foams will dissipate over time and the colour will gradually “yellow”.
CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE FOAMS
Cross-linked polyethylene foams are premium grade
foam products. They possess a very fine, closed cell structure, with
a more refined surface texture than standard polyurethane and polyethylene
foams. Cross linking yields a very strong molecular bond giving the
foam increased tear resistance and geometric memory (return to original
shape after deformation). Ideal for applications where high aesthetics
or washable surfaces are of importance, cross linked polyethylene
foams are available in a variety of densities and colours (gray and
black are standard). These foam products are typically cut by CNC
router, CNC waterjet and die stamping. SPECIALTY
FOAMS Military grade, fire retardant
and special property foams are available upon request. |
