Our single lid military
cases can be engineered to any size and payload. They are manufactured
I.A.W. applicable MIL standards such as MIL-STD-108, MIL-STD-648
and MIL-STD-810.
Impact's aluminum
Military cases are available in two performance strengths - heavy
duty (0.090 in. thick shell) and super duty (0.125 in thick shell).
Due to the inherent strength of aluminum, these cases are unaffected
by temperature, have superior creep resistance, increased payload
capacity and support greater stacked (superimposed) loads than plastic
cases. Impact's Military cases are designed and manufactured to meet
the customer's specific requirements. This means that there are no
compromises when it comes to protecting mission critical systems and
components.
The following
are some principal features of our military cases:
Principal
Features: • Welded Construction •
Chamfered edges • Airtight / watertight /w automatic pressure
equalization valve • Impact's proprietary high strength
valance /w double continuous gaskets • External ribs to
prevent shearing of case hardware
(latches, handles, etc...) • Stackable UHMW skid rail
system • Latches and handles are 300 series stainless
steel
(black oxide finish)
Beyond these standard features, we offer many modification possibilities.
Available
Modifications: • Forklift access
• Spring-loaded delta lift / tie down rings (300 series stainless
steel)
• Humidity control /w bayonet desiccant assemblies and humidity
indicator
• Temperature control - Solid State Chillers
• Custom connector ports and panels (on case shell)
• Internal frame system for heavy payloads
• Custom foam interiors (designed per MIL-HDBK-304)
• Shock mounted decks and chassis
• Internal straps and tie-downs
• Custom panels and flanges
• Custom brackets
• Lid storage kits
Typical
Uses: Shipping and storage cases / containers for:
• equipment spare parts
• weapons systems and ordinance related items
• ultra-sensitive payloads, such as gyroscopically stabilized
optical devices (including FLIR) and inertial navigational systems
• disaster team mobilization systems (FEMA / HUSAR / DART)
Performance testing and certification can be
undertaken (at an
accredited independent laboratory) upon request.
